Mister the Crime boss AU

so imagine a world where the Za Lord's guard is formed earlier, where Harry decided to invited Toot-Toot over for pizza, they are talking and then the Dread Beast himself appears, Harry stops Mister from pouncing on Toot-Toot, by bribing him. Explains to Toot that he lives in the apartment at Mister's sufferance (the usual cat owner talk) and the evening goes well

A week or so later Harry sends Bob out with Mister for some reason. Toot seeing this pauses to talk. There is an accord that is reached. Za Lord's guard will aid Mister in the holding and controlling of his realm, in return Mister will not hunt those that bear his badge, and he will lend them the services of his Wizard, if they provide the cash, Harry will order pizza for them with a small tax of sorts, he gets one pizza slice and a bottle of coke for his efforts. (Mister knows that Harry will share with him)

Anyways that is how the Dread Beast's gang started, local pixies mug mobsters that try and ply their trade in Mister's territory and then go to Harry to get pizza with the money, other wee folk ether join Mister's gang or are hunted. The local pets ether stay indoors or follow his directive.

Mister enjoys being lord of his domain, he expand it when he feels like hunting and there is nothing left to hunt.

Harry has noticed that Murphy looks at him weirdly for the last couple of months when they see each other. But other then a "If you where with the mob you would tell me right?" She doesn't say anything.

Then Tommy Tomm and Jennifer Stanton die and Harry is called in. Then Marcone picks him up for a conversation and accuses him of being the "Dread Beast". Harry wonder's why the mob boss is accusing him of a being Mister and b killing Tommy Tomm. They soul gaze and generally things happen like in the book for the most part.

Harry only has a chance to think about being accused of being Mister while he's in the hospital, then he has questions. He gets home and asks Toot-Toot. Toot answers.

Harry then goes gets drunk, finds Murphy and tells her "You know when you told me to tell you if I was part of the mob? Turns out my cat is a mob boss."

As Murphy looks at a drunk Harry he goes on "Did I fail as a pet owner? Why would Mister decide to become a mob boss? Are there signs I should have scene?"

like we've never touched before by nonalovesyou - Post season 1 angst in 2025? I'm so happy it exists. Simon gets assigned to tutor Wille in math and they (in a S2 way) awkwardly, inevitably, try to reconnect. Simon's characterisation is incredible, the angst hurts in the best way, and I'm so excited to see it continue.

Hope And Legacy by @malinowaj - Simon and Wille are both pro figure skaters and Simon gets forced to coach Wille by Kristina. Sports AU's have a special place in my heart and this one is just perfect. The way their relationship slowly and organically develops feels so realistic and is incredibly heartwarming. And it's actually gotten me more interested in figure skating, which is fun!!

Even If It's Just Us by queerfrogprince - Wille and Simon reconnect after years to travel Europe together. Wille is grieving, it's messy, it's painful, it hurts, it doesn't shy away from difficult yet important conversations. It's also comforting in a way their relationship kind of inherently is and their natural connection and pull towards each other is so well described. And also, they feel so grounded in every place they visit. I drop everything every time an update comes out.

Change My Mind by @iwouldnevergetintofanfic - Wille comes to Hillerska two years later, Felice wants to date him, and is best friends with Simon. I love Simon and Felice's dynamic in this, and the way Wille keeps subverting Simon's expectations never gets old to me. And Simon finding more of a place at Hillerska is really interesting and fun to read about, it feels really grounded and has those true high school experience-vibes to me. Really excited to see how this one will play out!

come closer and see into the dark by @bigalockwood - Simon and Wille are ghosthunters who work together and care a little bit too much for each other to be professional. There's angst, fluff, hurt/comfort, tension, everything you could ever want. The way their personalities got so perfectly influenced by the world they're in is impeccable and I could talk about it for hours. A masterpiece.

land between our bodies by @phneltwrites - Wille and Simon don't get back together at the end of S3, instead they start to fake date. But this is so, so, much more than that. It explores Simon's character in a way that has made me actually understand him better, the writing is gorgeous, it has one of my favourite OC's of all time, and the way the inevitability and yet the active choice of Wille and Simon's relationship plays into everything here... It hurts and it is so good.

Et c'est le but! by @piebingo - Simon moves across the world to play hockey and live with a host family, Wille's of course. There's only one chapter of this so far but the premise of this is so exciting, and the first Wilmon interaction had me invested already. Really looking forward to reading more of this!

Running With Wolves by @enjoythesilentworld - I'm kind of cheating by putting this one in because I've only read the first chapter but I am already so invested. I never knew the YR fandom needed their own crime novel but this made me realise we so do. Detective Simon, crimeboss Wille, an intricate and incredibly developed plot and so so so much tension. It doesn't get better than that.

And also, because I couldn't bear leaving these out, a few finished works that I really really enjoyed reading!!

Moon go down (do it again) by @skibasyndrome - Wille and Simon in Simon's dorm a few months into meeting and their first uni semester. This has been living in my head since I first read it. The atmosphere, the writing, the quietness of the scene and the loudness of their emotions, the sweetness of the moment. It's so perfectly captured and I want to be in it forever. I'm so happy to have this fic to read whenever I want some comfort.

Take A Punt by @gulliblelemon - Wille and Simon connect in a UK university town. I loved following along as this was posted. It's lighthearted and cute, and it's adorable and fun how Wille is so immediately mesmerised by Simon. But there's also some honest and emotional conversations, and the awkwardness of the transition from accidently spending time together to doing it very much on purpose. Perfect for a pick me up after a tough day.

Never Not You by @pagegirlintraining - Twelve years after the sex tape, Wille and Simon are best friends but have moved on romantically. Or have they?? I was lucky enough to binge this fic when it was finished because oh my god I don't think I could've managed to wait with how invested I was. The fact that this fic had both pov's added so much and puts you right into both of their headspaces. Characterisation is incredible and the dynamic is so Wilmon but has also clearly grown up with them. It's exceptionally painful and messy, but just like with their relationship, it is more than worth it.

Isko de Guzman: Valentine's Day AU event bio

What grade is your character in?

2nd year, Class 2C

What are their goals in school and beyond?

Isko cares very little about school and his grades. It was a miracle that he made it this far. But in the past week, he has started to care again. Isko was pulled into the headmaster's office and told that he would have to repeat 2nd year if his grades didn't pick up. The easy answer was to drop out but his father is refusing to let him and made it clear that he had to graduate in order to join the family business.

What is their home life like?

Isko is the eldest son of a crimeboss. His father had taken over from his father and it was expected that Isko would inherit it from him. He feels like it is a big responsibility and he is anxious but excited to start working with his father. He has a good relationship with both of his parents and with his siblings. Most of the time they were a normal family if you could ignore what happened when his father went to work.

What is their school life like? Are they academically gifted? Are they popular? Are they introverted? Are they a delinquent?

Isko is a natural born delinquent. He skips class often and when he does show up, he is disruptive to the point of being kicked out. When he does try, he's not a terrible student but he prefers playing basketball to being in class.

What extracurricular club do they take part in?

He is on the basketball team

How are they going to spend Valentine's Week this year?

As much as he'd like to spend it with a few different people, he knows he needs to study or else he'll be stuck in school forever.

Do they have a crush on anyone? Do they wish to confess to their crush?

He's awaiting people's confessions to him (which means TBD).

a One Shot CrimeBoss AU! -- hands down, I'm too proud -- inspired by @inklessletter's INSANE fanart that has been living in my brain rent free for 2 months.

so here's a sneak peek:

Eddie Munson. 

Munson owns The Underdark, and Hellfire, and Speak(easy) Friend, as well as who knows how many other holdings around the city. But even Steve knew he must have his hand in damn near everything. 

They called him The Puppet Master, but godsforbid it was anywhere within his earshot. The man could pull and pluck strings like nobody’s business. And it was just that — nobody’s business. Munson worked hard to keep it that way.

Steve could appreciate that a nom de plume, even a cool one, didn’t exactly vibe with working in the dark. Can’t be a shadow if you have a fucking stage name.

But everything about this place spoke to the kind of man Munson was - a man of means. The lush colors: deep plum and peacock blue infused the velvet curtain lining seemingly every upholstered surface, fuchsia and deep gold brocade accenting every tucked away corner. The jewel tones complemented the art deco design as did the sumptuous marble and gleaming mirrored bar tops spanning the center of the large open room.

And somehow juxtaposing insanely and yet perfectly was the purple neon pulsing above said bar lauding The Underdark’s unofficial motto- “you can certainly try.”

Combine it all with the electric guitar, sultry bass, and steady rock beats bumping through the place and you had quite the potent cocktail. The whole thing somehow gave the air of being an eclectic dive bar that a rave was ready to break out at any moment and a private, secluded little getaway where you wouldn’t be spotted, noted, or bothered.

quick disclaimer: i know nothing about detectives, especially in the US. i am sort of basing it around the show Shakespeare and Hathaway private investigators? if anyone wants to inform me about hierachies and ranks they would be welcome!

Shiv:

i think shiv would also be a private investigator/detective. she would be newly qualified or NEARLY qualified and keeps messing up in the test by being too impulsive or something?like how in the show she’s new to the company and the concept of being CEO and just moved from the world of politics.

either she is actually loyal to the roy company, but she keeps trying to do things in a different way and go off on her own,

OR she’s constantly being a double agent between kendall and roy’s agency and other detective agencies (e.g mattson?) like giving the roys fake evidence to mess up the investigation. OR both? at different points.

Tom:

yeah hes helping as another detective too, like lower ranks maybe but still qualified. he does lots of asking around houses and driving around. he takes greg with him because he gets lonely to use him as a human shield in case a bullet flies at his face.

Greg:

considering the Roys would still be rich, they can afford to get some clerks or whatever to get them coffee bc i KNOW they would not be able to survive without help.

he helps Tom, and im toying with this idea that Tom gets Greg to do an errand while they’re on a case, and then Greg gets kidnapped and held hostage.

Connor:

someone in the tags of a reblog said that he’s the IT guy and i think thats such a good idea but i lost who said it. so if you said this, 👍! ( if i find it i’ll put you here: @sleek-lazy-cats-8-the-cotter)

i also think that as well as being really bad at IT and barely being able to work a word document, there’s this ONE time that he gets a piece of information that is crucial to the case and he ALWAYS brings it up.

Logan:

100% a crime boss. That man hires hitmen for fun. everytime he crops up in a case, they debate whether to prove his guilt (because it would skyrocket their reputation and get them more money) or cover for him because he’s their father and he continues to play mindtricks.

how did they become detectives with a crimeboss as a father in the first place? beats me.

Gerri:

kinda giving criminal girlboss. like that woman stabs people. also roman gets to be conflicted about her if shes immoral.

Kendall and Roman:

i said shiv might try and do things differently, and i also think that kendall and roman do that too. none of them work together well for more than a couple days. lol. they do attempt it.

Kendall covers up his crime/murder/thing and i have an idea that he jumps in a river to chase a criminal and like. somethin something water motif somethin something.

Roman tries his hardest to be smooth with criminals and chat them up in order to get them to talk but he ends up just like. forgetting he exists and messing it up. also he constantly jibes kendall about drugs bc they crop up in cases a lot.

Crimeboss Markus au

Do you know how long I've been thinking about this au

They have been running around each other in circles for ages, and Markus absolutely loves it. Normally, he hates it when the police get too close, but he can't get enough from Connor. Connor absolutely hates it. He knows Markus is guilty, but he can't do anything about without evidence.

They have spent hours in the interrogation room together, and Markus loves seeing Connor slowly lose his calm, even if he himself has to be careful to not fall for his tricks. He's good, but Markus has played this game longer.

It's almost become like a routine for the two of them now, Markus flirts openly and shamelessly with the cute detective when he's at the station, and it took him a while to notice that Connor would sometimes flirt back, although his tactics are a lot more subtle.  

And if Connor pushed him against the wall outside the DPD once and kissed him harshly, well, nobody needs to know that.

(And I also have had this idea for so long that at one point Connor gets kidnapped by another gang for some reason, and when Markus finds out he goes there to rescue him. He kills everyone there to get Connor out, because nobody gets to touch his detective. Cue Connor recovering at his mansion and lots of fluff and angst and yes)

Irius was different than the rest of them, being in Omega after so many years, things tend to get muddy. He remembered coming here since the shuttle to the citadel wasn’t leaving and he was fed up on waiting. So he came to Omega, and something changed within him. In the last years, he established himself as a crimeboss, he had no alliegance to the three major gangs, he didn’t want that.

When he heard about someone whiping them out and making him the well sole leader of the thugs on Omega, he was kind of happy. But he also captured the person who whiped out the other gangs. Now the small woman stood in front of him.

“You are smaller than I expected.”

Fergus: Heavy brawler

Medb: Not much of a fighter, but has many guns and throwing knives on her person. Knives are coated in poison

Fionn: Anything to do with poisons and venoms. Works as an apothecary when he’s not smuggling. Sells poison-coated knives to Medb

Diarmuid: Cane-sword, quick and efficient movements, also has a retractable bo-staff in his belt. Uses his feet and legs a lot

Cu Chulainn: Various proficient styles, but mostly relies on his fists, has two guns holstered at all times, with runes engraved on the barrels

Danny is bemused about the crimeboss sick person who he wants to hug and give head pats. Jason is equally bemused and tries to follow the kid in proper bat-fashion. And in turn is followed by the rest of the bats who spotted him with the green glowy eyes of doom.

Personally I like to picture my version of Gotham (seeing as there's no canon version and the only canon city spirit we have is Angela (Las Angelas) A fellow shapeshifter whose probably the one teaching Robin, even if theirs is slower and more influenced by things that happen in the real world, this dimension or another while Robin is more picky in letting only the robins influence them.

Love the thought of the bats trying to question Danny (who seems not to exist legally so maybe it's a fake name?? But bloodwork also shows nothing- but oh fuck is that Lazarus Water in his blood-) and he's just "Can't, I'm a minor." Just to be a little shit. Just to be an asshole because they're being emotionally constipated and rude.

Boy are they surprised when a "Lazarus Portal" opens and what looks like an eldritch batman slinks through. And a little glowing Robin??? Danny is a little pouty because he didn't think he was taking that long to get back, and he'd just convinced Batblob to let him go off without him following! All that work, ruined.

I almost like to think that Clockwork kind of half-sent Danny to the ghost-world version of Gotham because he was struggling and is honestly just a kid and could use some guidance. And with how the Observants dislike him to the point of murder, CW sure couldn't keep him in Long Now. But Gotham? Now there's a place that not many go, thanks to curses running amok, a very dangerous City Spirit, and amalgamations of fallen Guardians and Rogues. It's chaotic, dangerous, and a hell of a shot, but the Bat could, and most probably would assist the newborn guardian. The living world and the infinite are intertwined after all, influenced by whatever realm it drifts closest to.

Thankfully Danny seems to be enjoying himself- he has a proper ghost friend now! And he's starting to be able to understand Batblob's cacophony of Silent-EverSilent-Gurgles-DistantWhispers-QuietScreamsSilence easier too without Robin translating. (His Ghost-Speak is getting so good :D) He wishes he could bring Sam & Tucker but it's a little too far into the ghost zone. And the ghosts and Vlad doesn't bother him here! (The last time he tried, unknown to Danny, the older halfa was met with a malicious swarm of teeth and maws ready to rip and tear and not lose another child again-) He's even gotten shown the exits to the living-world's Gotham. Robin likes to ramble about the new and different living-robins and about their friend who was also a robin and who disappeared one day and whose core they carry on their belt. Maybe he can help them find out what happened to him...
